Born in Greenville, with stops in Boston, New Jersey and St. Louis before coming back to South Carolina, Keefe attended Eastside HS and then on to finish his Political Science degree at Brevard College in WNC on a soccer scholarship. Working as a lead carpenter, construction foreman and project manager on luxury homes and commercial projects he learned the building trades while working in college. Owning a tree company as a certified arborist and COO of a Land Developing firm, he filled in his knowledge about creating communities only to be caught by a few solar companies who brought him in to sell their systems and undergird their internal construction practices. Gaining their confidence he rose quickly to executive roles in each. In 2019, he saw that customers could get a great solar deal if he put his own personal experience to work and Perfection Solar was created.

Graduating from Wofford in 1977, Tom went on to work at Liberty Life, and then as a Senior Officer at the following Financial Services firms: Robinson Humphrey in Atlanta: Shearson/ Lehman Brothers/ American Express in NYC; The Metropolitan Life in NYC; Marsh and Mclennan and Marsh USA in NYC; General American in St. Louis; and Merrill Lynch in NC. As a consultant to many of NY's large and boutique investment bankers Tom consults for them on special situation mergers and acquisitions in semi retirement.

Post graduation he would go on to attend Midlands Technical College while also managing a high volume restaurant. Successfully operating restaurants throughout Columbia, focusing on fecundity in stale markets, strategic growth, and tactical business plan execution. He would go on to work for Blue Cross Blue Shield of South Carolina for 5 years as an analyst, and corporate process improvement liaison, before once again entering the food and beverage industry. He would later be recruited for, and accept a sales opportunity within the Solar industry, and furthermore operations. Combining his sales, operational, and vertical business development experience to help create successful Solar sales and operational businesses within the southeast. Realizing an ethical deficit within the industry he would later become an managing partner here at Perfection Solar, where morals and ethics are the cornerstones of our success.
